3D product configurators are a great interactive experience for your customers, these tools provide a realistic representation of the product a customer wants to buy and customise it, with almost limitless possibilities. The tool can be something simple like changing a product's size and colour, to allowing someone to design their very own kitchen, enabling them to place their oven and cupboard in a room they design.
The model updates itself as any changes are made, and allows users to fully engage with the model, so they can rotate and zoom in and out on what they are building, giving them a greater perspective than any example picture could, and making your products stand out from the competition.
The interactive 3D design tool can be hooked into an existing ecommerce website, allowing you to provide real-time pricing for products that would normally take time to quote. Having a price there and ready to go is something that can't be underestimated, the confidence to buy can increase massively, especially if your competitors are getting prices back hours later.
Even if you don't want to offer live pricing with your design tool, it could still be a major advantage. Bespoke quotations allow you to remove some of the real world restraints you may have for live pricing. For example:
If your customer is designing a T-shirt and you only have prices available for round necks, whereas polos are priced on application, you could offer both on the designer because you're not worried about pricing at the point of design.
Another benefit is that you will receive any enquiry with all the information you need laid out for you, with a visual representation of what your customer wants.

First of all, you need to decide which products you would like the tool to build. Once you have those in mind, the next step is to pick up the phone. We'll run through with you how we think the designer will work for your selected products and we'll get an understanding of each. To help us with this, we may ask for photos of example products just so we can be as accurate as possible when quoting.
What we will ask for, where possible, is the chance for us to speak to the people who built or currently look after your website. This is important to start with because we need to make sure we can deliver what we promise. We don't want to build something for you which it turns out you won't be able to use, these are rare cases though, however it's best to be sure, and if we can speak to them directly it makes the whole integration a lot smoother if you wish to continue.
Once quoted, if you are happy to proceed, we then head to the build phase. In order for these products to work globally, we use a JavaScript-based framework, which we, or your current web developers, will be able to hook into the site for you and tie into your website's pricing and checkout where applicable.
Once completed, we demo the configurator to you and you can see your custom product visualiser in the flesh. Once you're happy with the tool, we'll then either pass it to your web team to install or install it for you.
